I recently fermented a big batch of homemade apple cider vinegar. I didn't enjoy the flavor so much so I decided to use it in alternative ways. Using it for cleaning or dishwashing seemed like literally pouring healthy goodness down the drain.

Face toner is another option. And since I love incorporating plant’s positive essences in concoctions, an infused face toner sounded perfect to me. This recipe is from a beautiful book of natural remedies and body care products written by a wise woman I had the good fortune of learning from.

Persian Face Toner:
3 tbsp lemon balm 2 tbsp lavender flowers 2 tbsp calendula flowers 2 tbsp sage Put herbs in a jar and cover with apple cider vinegar. Keep in a dark place for 10-14 days. Strain and store in a bottle.
